A monthly seminar to help you
understand your horse's brain and body presented by
Callie Fulmer.
Welcome to Second Sunday Seminars
Held
on the second Sunday of every month, these seminars
are geared towards helping you get the most out of
your riding. The seminars will cover diverse
topics such as seeing straightness, understanding the
mechanics of collection, how small changes in
equipment can change your seat, and how horses
learn. These were developed as a result of
my very popular and unique book club.
There will be a new book club chapter starting soon so
please check out the Read, Ride,
Reflect page and contact me if you are
interested. These seminars are open to the public and do not require pre-registration, so just come on out. Though the content is geared to adults, teens and horse crazy children may also find it useful.
Conveniently located in Clarksburg, MD, just off I-270 and also an easy drive from Leesburg - just take White's Ferry- Morning Star Farm is located at 24301 Peach Tree Road, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
These seminars are held at 10:00am and last about 2 hours, though they can go longer depending on questions. Please bring a chair, and because we will be on a farm and often demonstrating with a horse, appropriate footwear is requested. You might want to bring a mug to help us save the planet (I provide hot water, tea and hot chocolate or iced tea/lemonade depending on the season. Sometimes we even have coffee!)
The cost is $30 per person**. The farm has an indoor so the seminars will go on rain or shine. In case of snow, please check here for cancellations. No audio or video recording, please.
These seminars are also available for your club or barn and can be combined to make day or weekend clinics. I am also looking for a site on the Virginia side of the river for Second Sunday Seminars- The Afternoon Edition. Contact me for details or with ideas.
**Special- bring a friend and each of you will save $5.

About me, your host, Callie Fulmer
I hope to encourage and support my clients' understanding of what they are trying to do with their horses, and most importantly, why they are doing it. I want them to be able to take charge of their riding by making use of a background of knowledge and principles. This way, when situations come up that they haven't experienced before, they can follow their principles and handle it well. This allows riding to be as safe, fun, and rewarding as possible for both the horse and the rider.
I am available for lessons and training at your location in Loudoun County, Virginia, and Frederick and Montgomery Counties, Maryland. I accept all levels and disciplines. Please see my training website for more details.
